Needit: tedious processes, made easy

Needit

Request to make a process easier

Nederlands

Write what you need and send it. It goes straight to me, and I reply within one working day.

What Needit does

I take processes that are long, tedious and hard, and make them short, clear and easy.

No fixed stack, no standard package. I look at where the work actually happens and pick the technology that fits it: a Chrome extension when the work lives inside someone else’s portal, a backend that talks to Pluxee when the data lives there, a mapped data lake when nobody can see where the numbers come from.

Processes already made easy

Every project started as one sentence like the one above.

  1. I need my asbestos fiches to fill themselves in.
    Certified asbestos experts in Flanders

    Fast Fiche

A Chrome extension that creates a complete asbestos inventory fiche in the OVAM portal in one step, with templates, collections and history.

    How
A Chrome extension, because the work happens inside the OVAM portal. It fills in the portal for you, right where you already work.
    Kind
    Browser extension, SaaS
    Role
    Built and run by Needit
    Before
15 to 30 minutes of typing per fiche, field by field
    After
    A few minutes
The Fast Fiche homepage, showing the extension loading fiches inside the OVAM portal.

  2. I need my planning to work again by 7:15 when someone calls in sick.
    Service-voucher cleaning companies in Belgium

    Moop

Office software that keeps requests, planning, sick leave and performed visits in one place, with an app for the household helpers, in the company's own name and colour.

    How
A backend that integrates with Pluxee, the service-voucher platform, so planning and performed visits connect to the system the vouchers already run through.
    Kind
    Web app, mobile app
    Role
    Built and run by Needit
The Moop homepage, showing a day planning where a sick helper's visits are moved to colleagues.
    Attached: moop.be
  3. I need asbestos certificates filled in right the first time.
COPRO, for every asbestos expert certified through them

    Copro Companion

An extension that runs on top of the OVAM database while experts fill in an asbestos certificate. It posts COPRO's latest updates right in the portal, explains underlined terms in a pop-up, and scans the fiche when you save, flagging possible non-conformities before they're submitted. Launched in September 2025, free for all COPRO-certified experts, on desktop, tablet and phone.

    How
Built with React and the browser's extension APIs, so it sits directly on top of the OVAM database and experts don't have to change how they work.
    Kind
Browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Safari
    Role
Built by Needit for the client
A Copro Companion pop-up inside the OVAM portal, listing the four elements an expert must include after choosing a removal method.

  4. I need to know where our data actually flows.
    Hyphen Finance

    Data lake and ETL mapping

Helped integrate a data lake and mapped the internal ETL pipelines.

    How
Integrating a data lake and charting the existing ETL pipelines, so the team could see how data moves through the company.
    Kind
    Data engineering
    Role
    Contributed

How a request becomes software

We start with a stopwatch, and we finish with one.

  1. Show me the slow part

You do the task the way you do it today, and I watch and time it. No requirements document: most of what matters only shows up when someone actually does the work.

  2. A one-page plan

Within a week you get one page: what changes, which technology fits, what it costs and how much time it should save. A fixed price, so you know where you stand.

  3. Something working, early

You use a first version on your real work early on, not a demo at the end. Every week you use it, tell me what still feels slow, and I fix it.

  4. Timed again

When it’s done, we time the same task again. That difference is how I judge my own work.

  5. Still there after launch

Portals change, rules change, and so does your software. I keep it running and update it when the world around it moves. And you always talk to me, the person who wrote the code.

It started with a script to skip the grind.

I started programming for one reason: I didn’t want to grind. The games I played were full of repetitive chores. The same quest, the same route, the same click a thousand times. So I wrote scripts that did it for me. Most of them were ugly. All of them worked, and I’ve never looked at repetitive work the same way since.

Today the grind looks different. An asbestos expert typing the same fiche field by field into a government portal. A cleaning company rebuilding its planning at seven in the morning because someone is sick. A finance team that can’t say where its numbers come from. The instinct hasn’t changed: watch how the work is done, find the part that shouldn’t be manual, and make it disappear.

Needit is the name I do that under.
